About : Jake Mottaz
Born and raised in the Bay Area of Northern California, Jake has spent the past 20 years immersed in motorsport. Commencing his competitive activities at the age of 8, he slowly climbed the ladder with race wins and hard fought battles.
After competing at the highest levels of karting as a driver for multiple American industry strongholds, Jake hung up his helmet to begin his career on the other side of the drivers seat.
Jake was drafted by the Andersen Racing Team as Team Principal and quickly made a name for himself as the youngest team principal in the industry; racking up international race wins along the way.
By the age of 21, the young Californian had grown his small racing team into a national powerhouse, capturing virtually every title available in North America.
While many of his drivers have gone on to enjoy success in open wheel and sports-car racing, many have remained in karting and continued to apply his teachings in competition.
Working with competitors from every corner of the world, Jake has developed his training philosophy by working with and beating world champion talent.
Known for his concept based approach to driver training, the 27 year old karting standout has made his home on the other side of the country in the sunny Tampa Bay. Splitting his time across his multiple companies, Jake has made the transition to mainly private instruction and race program consulting.
